Angry Customers

Objectives

  • Motor: Students will be able successfully throw a ball towards the moving target with proper form during the activity, in ¾ trials, when verbally prompted by the instructor.
  • Cognitive: Students will be able to state the role of the customer and waiter after the instructor explains the rules/procedure for the activity when verbally prompted.
  • Affective: Students will give a high five to the waiter after a round is completed, when verbally prompted by the instructor.
  • Skills focus: Nontraditional activity, overhand/underhand throwing, Balancing.

Equipment

  • Polyspot
  • yarn/fleece ball
  • plastic cups
  • plate/tray

Activity Description

  • One student will be chosen to be waiter. Other students will be customers on the side.
  • Waiter’s goal is to walk across the path of angry customer while balancing two cups on a tray without dropping it.
  • Customer’s goal is to underhand or overhand throw their fleece/yarn ball towards the waiter’s cup and knock it down.
  • If the waiter makes it successfully across they can throw the cup contents on the customer.
