Activity Description
It will begin as a warm-up. Introduce Kabaddi while giving a brief culture of kabaddi and its significance in the physical fitness.
Draw up boundaries for play and create teams.
Outline basic rules of play by explaining how one incurs a point by tagging an enemy without being captured within 30 seconds.
Divide the class into two groups and describe the pattern of playing a Kabaddi match, wherein each team sends one 'raider' at a time into the opponent's half, to tag members and earn points for their team before returning without getting caught.
Collect the student for the discussion on experiences during the game, focusing upon the need for object control in relation to tagging and evading strategically during the play.
Conclude with one reflecting session asking students to express how participation in Kabaddi benefited them to use and control objects through hands or other parts of the body and understanding of cultural sports.
Modification
